Vegetable soup with shitake from Ivory Silo






I always save all my veggie ends stalks skins etc. for soup stock. This broth was particularly good because I had ginger, fennel, and an old dry delicata squash to boil down and the soup was delicious with these fresh ingredients, and dried herbs from last years herb garden. Life is good on the farm.
